SKIN FRIENDLY

Our products are formulated with skin-friendly ingredients in mildly tolerated concentrations to protect skin barrier function or restore a disrupted barrier.

We source our raw materials with the same integrity with which we approach all other aspects of our business. All of our oils are virgin, cold-pressed or CO2-extracted, wild-collected or organic, and packed with nutrients, antioxidants and phytochemicals.

Our proprietary blends are handmade from scratch. We do not use pre-mixed bases. To ensure the freshness and potency of the ingredients, our products are made weekly in small batches in our own cosmetics lab.

As an environmentally oriented company, we use recyclable glass and as little plastic as possible. We do not use outer packaging and wrap our products in recyclable paper to make them shippable.

QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS

At CRAFT & CARE, all oils and waxes used are sourced from controlled organic cultivation. In order to benefit from all the wonderful advantages of high-quality plant oils in your care routine, you should pay attention to the quality and the way the oil is extracted.

Only vegetable oils from controlled organic cultivation, which are obtained by a gentle cold pressing, contain many plant nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and secondary plant compounds. They are also guaranteed to be free of unnecessary chemicals and pesticides. Oils with these criteria are often referred to as food-grade oil.

The term "cold pressing" refers to the extraction process in which oil is extracted from organic seeds, fruits and nuts without chemicals or solvents and at low temperatures, even room temperatures. Before we delve into the details of the cold pressed extraction method, let's first understand the most commonly used method, "chemical extraction".
Cold pressed organic oils not only offer endless benefits for the skin, but are also the best choice for your overall health and our planet. Organic ingredients are free of pesticides and genetically modified organisms, and organic farming methods reduce pollution, decrease soil and water erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. Cold-pressed virgin oils, on the other hand, are associated with a lower risk of cancer and heart disease when consumed as food.

Our water-based ingredients are all plant-based and not derived from palm oil. We source our water-soluble ingredients and moisturizers from environmentally responsible sources.

PRESERVATION

The preservation of the products is based on multifunctional active ingredients that have an antimicrobial effect in the product and on the skin, as well as moisturizing and skin care properties.
